Mark Barrett(Class of 2018). Mark Barrett is an international student from London, England. He majors in Economics with a minor in French. He is part of the Marist College Men's Rugby Team. He wants to pursue a career in Data Analysis/IT. Mark is interested in the way emerging technologies such as Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies will influence the economy.
Lauren Vecchio (Class of 2019). Lauren Vecchio is majoring in Marketing and minoring in Psychology and Fashion Merchandising. She has always had a passion for fashion, but she first started covering the fashion industry by writing monthly articles for CollegeFashionista, a website that highlights the sartorial trends of different colleges across the United States. Since then, Lauren has also taken on writing weekly blog articles for a clothing and lifestyle company called Anjé.
Elio Velazquez(Class of 2018). Elio Velazquez is persuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and minors in Economics, Philosophy, and Global Studies. In his junior year, he spoke in Washington D.C. to Congressional Briefing at the U.S. Capitol Hill to provide recommendations for Congressional staff and national stakeholders about homelessness and education. He was invited by the U.S. Department of Education to attend a private meeting with John King Jr., the former U.S. Secretary of Education. This summer, he returned to the U.S. Capitol as an intern through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
Danielle Melillo (Class of 2018). Danielle Melillo is from Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She is a Fashion Merchandising major with a dual concentration in Business and Promotion. In the past year, Danielle studied abroad in Florence and Paris. She became one of the first students from Marist College to obtain two internships in Paris, with company Jules & Co and Parisian brand Yazbukey. Danielle continues to work with fashion companies in both New York and Paris. She is the former President of Delta Alpha Pi Honors Society and the former Vice President of the Italian American Club at Marist College. Her greatest passion is traveling and engulfing herself into new cultures, languages and most importantly fashion.
Aaron Tod (Class of 2019) Aaron Tod is a student from Kailua, Hawaii pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Information Systems. During his sophomore year he interned in the Mortgaging Banking Division at the Bank of Hawaii as well as at a technology startup company called FareHarbor. He is an avid learner, currently interested in understanding structural business development from the ground up. He is an outdoor enthusiast, particularly enjoying surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and hiking. He is a founding member of a multi-state, non-profit organization called Wild Kids (www.wildkidshawaii.org) which educates in an outdoor setting.
Francesco Galletti (Class of 2018). Francesco is studying Game Design and Cyber-Security. He is an ambitious game designer and founder of an award-winning startup BlueSheep LLC. Born in Mantova, Italy, when he was 17 years old he moved to the United States. He learnt the English language on his own to pursue his dream of creating video games. He is an avid traveler, a competitive gamer, and a devoted reader of articles about the future of the tech industry. He interned at IBM his freshman year where he was awarded to be part of one of the seven groups of interns to present his web application to the CIO of IBM.
Pat Hickey (Class of 2018). Pat Hickey is pursuing a BA in Political Science with a minor in History. He is specifically interested in international relations, comparative politics especially emerging markets, political development, and the history of non-western peoples. He is a member of the e-board of Students Promoting International Engagement. He has participated in conferences at Marist College, Bard College and in New York City. He has intermediate proficiency in German. He works part-time at Fleet Feet Sports-Poughkeepsie where he educates people about one of his greatest passions, running. Anative of Vermont, he enjoys watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots in his free time.
Olivia Rose Roofe
Olivia Rose Roofe (Class of 2020). Olivia Roofe is from Hoboken, New Jersey. She is planning to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. She is on the council representatives on the SGA Clubs Affairs Board as well as the Club Liaison for FOX Paws. She has volunteered and teamed up with United Way and Outreach to help improve the health of communities.
Eddie Forson(Class of 2020). Eddie Forson is an international student from Accra, Ghana but currently lives in New York. He majors in Computer Science with minors in Data Analytics and Information Systems. He is the co-owner of Forbidden Myths Clothing (www.mythsnewyork.com) which he started a year ago with two of his friends. He is a freelance photographer and editor and has experience in image manipulation. He enjoys traveling and taking pictures during his free time.
Max Darrington(Class of 2019). Max Darrington is an international student from the United Kingdom. He is part of the Marist College Honors Program. He is double majoring in Finance and Accounting. Max is a student athlete on the Marist College Tennis Team. His internship background includes investment banks and most recently a private equity firm in London, England.
Kulvinder Lotay(Class of 2018). Kulvinder Lotay is an international student from Kampala, Uganda. He is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. An entrepreneur and technology enthusiast, he co-founded BlueSheep LLC. He will lead a research study on Blockchain technology, which he will be presenting at the NCHC conference in November. He is currently involved in a software engineering role in the Ventures team at Vertex Inc.
Carly Horowitz(Class of 2020). Carly Horowitz is majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, and minoring in Business. Her undeniably strong work ethic has helped her strive in her job at Torta Fina Bakeshop Babylon, New York for the past two years. In the fall Carly will be the Director of Finance for the Marist Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America. — with Carly Horowitz
Caitlyn Mae Cairme
Caitlyn Mae Cairme (Class of 2020). Caitlyn is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Promotion and a minor in Business. She has completed multiple pre-college courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology and was the fashion columnist in her high school newspaper, “Rampage”. Her life-long interest in fashion has nurtured her passion for business in the fashion industry and has allowed her to follow the latest fashion news and trends.
Lindsay Trobel(Class of 2019). Lindsay Trobel is from Torrington, Connecticut and is a Public Relations major with a minor in Business. She is part of the Marist College Club Ultimate Frisbee team. Lindsay will be spending the fall semester in Manhattan as part of the Marist in Manhattan program where she plans to intern at a publishing firm because of her lifelong love of books.
Steven Morrison (Class of 2018). Steve Morrison is majoring in Finance, Mathematics, and Economics, with a minor in Accounting. As part of the Marist College Honors Program, he helped coordinate a Marist-sponsored technology camp in the Dominican Republic, and subsequently co-authored an academic paper on international learning and technology for an INTE Conferencesin Valencia, Spain. He is also a captain for Marist Athletics Cross Country and Track teams. Steve has professional experience in Wealth Management and Real Estate, where he has built valuation models for investments and acquisitions.
Adler Papiernik (Class of 2019). Adler Papiernik is a student from Buffalo, New York majoring in Communications with a concentration in Creative Advertisement, and minoring in Art History and Fashion Merchandising. During Adler’s freshman year, he interned for Nic Still at VIAJIYU, a renowned Italian shoe boutique where he gained experience with company branding and promotion. As a Freshmen Florence Experience alumni; in the fall he will study at Antibes, France. He has an interest in Art History, graphic design and follows the fashion industry.
Allison Ret(Class of 2019). Allie Ret is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing. At the regional New York State Business Plan Competition, she earned first place in the products category with her redesigned and modified colostomy device. At the state level, she took second place and received an MWBE recognition award. She transferring from Dutchess Community College. At DCC she was the President of the Business Club. She currently is at CareerPath Mobile a career services tech-company. She is a New York Mets fan, enjoys spending time with her dog, and spending time outdoors.
Scott Hansen (Class of 2017). Scott Hansen is a Computer Science major and the Chair of the school’s student chapter of the IEEE. For the past two summers, Scott has been employed at JPMorgan Chase & Co., fulfilling the role of a Technology Analyst. His interests include programming, technology, and problem-solving.
Emily Hickey(Class of 2020). Emily Hickey is a Fashion Merchandising major with a double concentration in Business and Promotion. She has an interest in social media, journalism, and marketing. She has worked alongside companies such as Oscar de la Renta and Anna Maier for Market Week runway shows. Emily is currently working on the Marketing/PR team as one of the Social Media Coordinators for Marist MPorium store this fall and she is part of the Marist College Cheerleading team.
Alexa Cucchiara (Class of 2019). Alexa Cucchiara is a student from Manhattan, New York majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, studying Fashion Product Development and Graphic Design. She has always had a passion for art, fashion, and business development. In high school, she launched her first business from concept and brand name to design, photography, and marketing (One Twist Co.-- onetwistco.bigcartel.com). Alexa is currently the President of the International Italian American Society. She previously held a position as a Value Channel Sales Intern and Merchandising and Design Shadow at Haddad Brands, and as a Sales Assistant at Ben Sherman Group Ltd. On her free time, she enjoys painting, traveling, doing pilates and cooking.
Samantha Slama (Class of 2019). Samantha Slama is an International Business and Pre-Law major. She is from Flemington, New Jersey and attended Hunterdon Central Regional High School. She has been a Sales Associate at Tommy Hilfiger since 2014 and has interned for three consecutive summers at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf Law firm as a Legal Assistant. She has held the Personal Relations chair for Marist College Republicans and was elected Vice President of Marist's Pre-Law Society. She is also a member of Marist Business Club, and Campus Ministry. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, music, and playing the piano.
Ryan Hannah (Class of 2020). Ryan Wertlieb is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Business, a minor in Music, and a Paralegal Certificate. She is a Student Assistant in the office of Student Financial Services. In the first semester of her freshman year she was part of business plan competition where her team created the idea for an application called Live Wallet for a transaction processing company called Cayan and came in third place overall. She has an interest in writing, music, law and fashion.
Ericka Stewart (Class of 2019). Ericka is from Albany, New York studying Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Advertising. She has an interest in medical marketing, economics, and entrepreneurship, with hopes of launching a business concept in the future. On campus she has worked with Sodexo USA Marketing Director as an intern, to align retail shop offerings on campus, with student wants and needs. She is also a member of Marist Habitat for Humanitychapter, as well as a member of Phi Beta Lambda-Future Business Leaders of America of Blue Ridge CTC. She is a sprinter for the Marist AthleticsTrack and Field team and enjoys playing soccer, skiing, biking, and traveling.
Corinne McGovern (Class of 2019). Corinne McGovern is majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Promotion. She has an interest in journalism, social media, and PR. She first began exploring the fashion journalism scene by writing for CollegeFashionista. Corinne is currently interning and has contributed content for the World Bride Magazine. Corinne is also a co-captain of the Marist Cheerleading Team.
Farrell Tamke (Class of 2017). Farrell Tamke is from Bernardsville, New Jersey and currently pursuing a Public relations major and minor in Interactive Media. Farell is the former president of the Marist business club. He has been a musician for 10 years, mainly playing the guitar and singing. He is interested in the future and innovation in the music industry.
Biagio Raimondi (Class of 2020). Biagio Raimondi is from Manhasset, New York he is a double major in Finance and Economics. He is a member of the Financial board as well as a member of the Marist Club Golf Team. Biagio is interested in economics and central banking. During his freshman summer, he worked as a lifeguard for Old Westbury Summer Camp. Biagio enjoys reading The Wall Street Journal and aspires to someday work as an economist on New York City's Financial District.
Dylan Facey (Class of 2019). Dylan is a Communications major, with a concentration in Public Relations. He is a member of the Marist College Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). He is a telephone interviewer for the Marist Poll. He has always enjoyed writing stories and poems because it gives him a chance to be creative.
Austin Thiele(Class of 2019). Austin Thiele is from Smithtown, Long Island. He is a Finance major with a minor in Computer Science. At Marist, he is part of various intramural sports and serves on the Executive Committee for Marist College Kappa Sigma. He lives in Smithtown, Long Island, and enjoys soccer, fitness, music, skiing, surfing, and reading.
Zach Schultz (Class of 2019). Zach Schultz is a student from Wyckoff, New Jersey majoring in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Philosophy. Zach is an Emergency Medical Technician with the Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He is an Organic Chemistry Laboratory Assistant, Vice President of Marist's pre-health fraternity, Delta Epsilon Mu, and a member of the Marist College Ski Team. Zach's scientific research investigates the possibility of removing persistent organic pollutants from the environment through bioremediation. His business interests include the commercialization of biomedical advances, as well as the development and utilization of emerging technologies in the field of medicine.
Kelsi Kobata (Class of 2018). Kelsi Kobata is a student from Honolulu, Hawai'i. She is majoring in Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in Fashion Merchandising. Her past internship experience includes an internship with Modern Luxury Hawai'i, a city magazine that explores Hawai'i's finest in dining, design, travel and cutting-edge, local and international fashions. The past fall she had the opportunity to volunteer at New York Fashion Week. She an avid traveler and went on a grand tour of Europe during her semester abroad in the Spring of 2017.
Brian Gannon (Class of 2018). Brian Gannon is a Hudson Valley local pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Business and Criminal Justice. This summer he completed a 10-week-auditing internship with Grant Thornton LLP. Brian worked with the non-for-profit sector focusing on higher education financial statement audits during his time at Grand Thornton Thornton. During his junior year, he studied abroad in Florence at the Marist Italy campus and traveled across Europe. He is interested in current market trends and how current news and events can affect any debt or equity security.
Nick Esposito (Class of 2020). Nick Esposito is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, and a minor in Information Systems. He is transferring from Dutchess Community College, where he was involved with the Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Societies. He has interests in finance, politics, and economic policies. Nick enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors.
